Escape dynamics in collinear atomic-like three mass point systems

چکیده
The present paper studies the escape mechanism in collinear three point mass systems with small-range-repulsive/large-range-attractive pairwise-interaction. Specifically, we focus on systems with non-negative total energy. We show that on the zero energy level set, most of the orbits lead to binary escape configurations and the set of initial conditions leading to escape configurations where all three separations infinitely increase as t → ∞ has zero Lebesque measure. We also give numerical evidence of the existence of a periodic orbit for the case when the two outer masses are equal. For positive energies, we prove that the set of initial conditions leading to escape configurations where all three separations infinitely increase as t→∞ has positive Lebesque measure.

Dynamics of Macro–Nano Mechanical Systems; Fixed Interfacial Multiscale Method
The continuum based approaches don’t provide the correct physics in atomic scales. On the other hand, the molecular based approaches are limited by the length and simulated process time. As an attractive alternative, this paper proposes the Fixed Interfacial Multiscale Method (FIMM) for computationally and mathematically efficient modeling of solid structures. The approach is applicable to mult...
متن کاملClassical Coulomb three-body problem in collinear eZe configuration
Classical dynamics of two-electron atom and ions H−, He, Li, Be, ... in collinear eZe configuration is investigated. It is revealed that the mass ratio ξ between nucleus and electron plays an important role for dynamical behaviour of these systems. With the aid of analytical tool and numerical computation, it is shown that thanks to large mass ratio ξ, classical dynamics of these systems is ful...
متن کاملThe Attitude of Variation of Elastic Modules in Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes: Nonlinear Mass-Spring Model
The examination of variation of elastic modules in single wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) is the aim of this paper. Full nonlinear spring-like elements are employed to simulate specific atomic structures in the commercial code ABAQUS. Carbon atoms are attached to each node as a mass point using atomic mass of carbon atoms. The influence of dimensions such as variation of length, diameter, aspect...
متن کاملAn analytic model for non-spherical lenses in covariant MOdified Newtonian Dynamics
Strong gravitational lensing by galaxies in MOdified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND) has until now been restricted to spherically symmetric models. These models were able to account for the size of the Einstein ring of observed lenses, but were unable to account for doubleimaged systems with collinear images, as well as four-image lenses. Non-spherical models are generally cumbersome to compute numer...
متن کاملGroup Behaviors for Systems with Signiicant Dynamics
Birds, sh, and many other animals travel as a ock, school, or herd. Animals in these groups must remain in close proximity while avoiding collisions with neighbors and with obstacles. We would like to reproduce this behavior for groups of arti cial creatures with signi cant dynamics. In this paper we describe an algorithm for creatures that move as a group and evaluate the performance of the al...
